MSF Racing technical regs announced

The technical regulations for MSF Racing Series 2016 have been posted online and announced as of today.

The majority of categories and regulations are carry-over from the SNF Racing Series that ran since 2010. The regulations are quite stable as of last year, with the focus this year being to further define the difference between what makes as “Street” based car, and a pure “Race Car” vehicle in the MSF.

Essentially ‘Street’ vehicles should feature a complete front interior ahead of the B-pillar, with the objective being that to the uninformed observer, the car does look it could drive out of the racing paddock and off down the highway. Street-based vehicles also do not have such a complicated cage which may be used to stiffen torsional rigidity of the chassis, the cage mainly serving as a safety rollcage, and not a stressed chassis architecture.

The aim of the MSF Racing regulations, similar to those of SNF Racing before it, is above all to make door-to-door racing accessible and affordable to the masses, with as much as possible something for everyone.
